Far North was born out of the passion of its founders – highly skilled extreme adventure athletes with a passion for only the highest quality videography to capture expeditions across all edges of the Earth.
Unlike other production houses, Far North comprises of a creative team of videographers and photographers that have the expedition experience to take cameras and equipment into the hardest places across the earth, in order to produce highly emotive and visually astounding raw provocative media.
A team dedicated to capturing extreme environments and extreme endeavours for clients and brands that want to place their products in never before seen locations for the ultimate in unique media content.
No location is unattainable or unreachable, as the creative team utilize their skills as exploration specialists and adventure athletes. Using the latest camera technology, with technical knowledge and precision gained through 15 years of film experience and over 20 years of expedition experience, the Far North team has the creative and athletic edge to put a camera anywhere in the world. If a client asks for an 8K camera at the summit of Everest, they can be guaranteed that Far North will be able to produce with confidence… the only team for the job.

Malcolm is an adventure athlete and well known entrepreneur, who is well accustomed to organising logistics for some of the most intrepid expeditions. Over the last ten years, Malcolm’s experience as an explorer and athlete has led him to create and invest in a number of businesses in the extreme sport industries. These companies have then gone on to sponsor other extreme athletes all over the world in some of the toughest sporting events in the world.
A passionate environmental film maker and social entrepreneur, Malcolm has been involved in a number of successful film projects such as A Plastic Ocean, and most recently The Last Glaciers. A Plastic Ocean was one of the most awarded environmental documentaries of 2017, and was described by Sir David Attenborough as “the most important film of our time”.
He has recently become the first paraglider, speedflyer and film maker to join UN Environment’s campaign ‘Mountain Heroes’. He will be joining a group of other famous athletes such as Canadian iceclimber Will Gadd, Austrian cyclist Michael Strasser, Kenyan skier Sabrina Simader and adventurer Ben Fogle, helping to draw attention to emerging environmental issues in mountains including climate change, waste and biodiversity loss.
He is also the Brand Ambassador for Arc'teryx, Vacheron Constantin and Mercedes Benz, with these brands selecting Malcolm as a leading Asian Entrepreneur and Adventurer. This experience puts him in a good position to understand the desires of brands, with personal knowledge of the requirements for content to be successful.

Matt is a renowned creative disruptor, restauranteur and environmental entrepreneur. A restless mind that always seeks to find and apply pressure to the relationship between creativity, strategy and brand.
Matt is the co-founder of Steelhead Group; a collection of companies ranging from the leading restaurant group in Asia, Maximal Concepts, to Disruption Labs; a pioneering biotech wellness company.
Matt is passionate social entrepreneur sitting on two charities Board of Directors, Plastic Oceans Foundation & Hong Kong Shark Foundation, and currently an advisor to the Ellen McArthur Foundation. He believes re-purposing the power of business to be the principle driver of change. Harnessing creativity and popular culture, through inspiring and informative content, and amplifying through hyper inter-connectivity is a key philosophy. Being part of the team that produced ‘A Plastic Ocean’ has led Matt to develop more films and content programs.
GUY BOLTON

Adventure photographer and film-maker, Guy is best known for his ability to capture moments in impossible locations around the world, bringing the stories of extreme sports athletes and remote landscapes to life.
His work has features heavily in the outdoor industry, being published by commercial brands and environmental organisations including the United Nations. His background comes from Australia’s Aviation Rescue and Firefighting service as the station’s youngest trainer and assessor, giving him the skills to work in arduous conditions and a unique insight into the demands and rigours of emergency work around the world.
A passionate paragliding pilot, Guy has guided in the Southern Alps of New Zealand, Australia’s Gold Coast Hinterland, and the Swiss Alps, and undertaken ‘vol-biv’ fly camping expeditions in 3 continents. His love of the mountains has given him a broad range of experience in accessing remote locations through paragliders, rope access, or on foot, which comes through in his work capturing the moments that place the audience in these inaccessible locations
With a background in graphic design, Guy works to create holistic, targeted content true to the brand identity of the organisations we work with. This experience allows for the streamlining of content creation, often serving to bridge the gap between content creators, athletes and designers.

CHERISE TUTTLE

Cherise Tuttle is an avid adventurer who has spent the last decade planning and facilitating media projects in remote and high-altitude locations. Her years of experience working in these exceptional environments, allows her to anticipate the unique requirements of both climbing and media teams, in extremely challenging or unexpected situations. In addition, her creativity and talent as a writer and photographer, create the ideal unique skill-set for successful and safe production and expedition management, in highly dynamic and variable work environs. Cherise has partnered with companies such as Adidas Outdoor, Lowa Boots, Outside Magazine, BBC, and Ozone Paragliders understanding the importance of compatible brand alliance to ensure the highest quality product creation for her clients.
Passionate about making a meaningful contribution to the world, Cherise prioritizes projects with social and environmental impact. Employed by the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) as a first responder and media content manager during the 2015 earthquakes in Nepal, she was able to hone her team logistics, content creation and management skills; always prioritizing efficiency and safety for her team. Through this she has developed a trusted network of organizations and companies, practicing adaptability through various unknown circumstances while creating a strong platform through branded social media presence and web development.
Cherise also sits on the board of The Cloudbase Foundation; a global non-profit organization, founded by free-flight pilots, committed to social entrepreneurship and humanitarian projects internationally. When Cherise is not creating media content or managing expeditions, she is home in Mammoth Lakes, California with her wolf-dog Astro, back-country skiing, paragliding or pursuing her sommelier training.
GARETH EVANS
VIDEOGRAPHER - PHOTOGRAPHER
Adventure videographer/photographer for major outdoor companies, Gareth specialises in capturing stories in some of the hardest locations around the world. As an Ariel Drone Specialist and Advanced Scuba Diver, Gareth has worked closely with military from the US Marines, Navy Seals and International Special Forces on various projects, following them across deserts, under water and across mountain ranges. Gareth has a wealth of knowledge in handling cameras in all environments, wherever you want to put one, he can get it there.
With a degree in Biochemistry, Gareth has a passion for innovative solutions to climate change and has worked closely filming with the charity Force Blue founded by US Marine, Rudy Reyes, helping to rebuild coral reefs. Being privileged to see the world at its best, Gareth hopes though his work in film he can help raise awareness to help the earth at its worst.
This combined with his vast experience in studio and product content production and urban photography makes him an invaluable member of the team to strengthen our ability to think outside of the box as an adventure and extreme location team. Gareth is a Jedi master of making products look great wether its in a studio or in an extreme location, from stills to some of the smoothest gimbals moves in the industry.
He is also an avid rock climber and surfer, so if he’s not behind a camera he will be scaling a rock face somewhere or chilling out at sea.
